Galvanized springs
Electroplating is an umbrella term for all galvanic processes on springs. Galvanic processes are processes in which a metal layer is deposited on a metal surface by galvanic (electrolytic) means. Examples include electrogalvanizing, nickel plating or chrome plating.
These are always aqueous solutions in which the metal to be deposited has been dissolved. The electric current flowing through the product and the liquid draws the dissolved metal particles toward the product surface.
An electrochemical reaction then takes place at the product surface, causing the dissolved metal to become solid metal. This solid metal then forms a layer on the product surface
